League Play off and Running

Larry Benedet’s Hole in One, Barry Murphy’s eagle, the first Tuesday Twilite couldn’t be called uneventful. So too was the first official Industrial league as the East Enders   have jumped into an early lead followed closely by the now eight, Fab Five, thanks, in large part to Pat Capello’s new irons. He’s just not monkeying around the course anymore.

The Tuesday Ladies returned from their winter hiatus and   despite their best efforts, just couldn’t confuse the razor sharp pro shop staff. Not one bit! The quartet of wily Peggy Moxon, Sue Landry, Mary McNamee and C. Smith stroked their way to a two shot triumph over Elna Pfeiffer, Joan Dunbar, Shirley Barker and Ruth Miller-Baker. Barb Geroux, Barb Murray, Dorothy Manson and Lucille Crawford were another shot behind.

Ninety shooters showed up for the first Wednesday night Ladies swingfest sponsored by the Committee and Janie B Knits. Norma Sweeney nailed down the Burns Jewellers Closest to the Hole Certificate on # 8 while Rosemary Pender was nearest on # 15. Karen Cole went deep on # 18 and Fran Laidlaw was Closest (so close she hit it.) to the soon to be named Turtle on # 12.   Any suggestions?
